The musical vision of Glasgow artist Natalie Joy, ASK ALICE is an alternative electronic project built around honesty, atmosphere and a willingness to explore the darker corners of the human experience.
Blending electropop, alternative pop, dream pop and experimental sounds, ASK ALICE creates music that can be haunting and intimate one moment, then expansive and hard-hitting the next. At its heart is Joy’s songwriting — deeply personal, emotionally direct and never afraid to tackle difficult subjects.
Her debut EP, Heartwork, arrived in 2021, documenting a period of personal struggle, love and recovery through five carefully crafted tracks. Since then, ASK ALICE has continued to develop its sound, building a world where vulnerability and darkness become part of the music rather than something to hide.
Tracks including “Demonia”, “Death By Darkness”, “Antidote” and “Heartwork” showcase an artist unafraid to push beyond conventional pop and create something stranger, darker and more immersive.
With appearances at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and Room 2 among her Glasgow performances, ASK ALICE continues to establish herself within the city’s alternative music scene.
Expect dark electronics, powerful atmosphere, brutally honest songwriting and a live experience that pulls you straight down the rabbit hole.
