Thursday 4th April
Starts 19:00 // Ends 22:00
Glasgow Streetsound, in partnership with Buskers of Glasgow (https://linktr.ee/BuskersofGlasgow), is a live music showcase at Glasgow city centre based venue Room 2 (just off Buchanan Street), aimed at giving recognition to Glasgow’s (and further afield) talented musicians and street performers.
Join us for an evening of amazing live music for #18 with Juney Mo, Time Gypsy, Ella England and Mar Charav.
JUNEY MO: “Juney Mo has been inspiring vulnerable young people in the community for several years and has finally decided to take talents and take it to the next level. She has been singing and songwriting for several years and made her first single which she sold and donated to the charity SAMH. The music she makes has been inspired by Stevie Nicks, Blondie, Amy MacDonald, that is just the tip of the iceberg of the thousands of artists she has studied thoroughly as she made her way. Firstly, performing on You Call that radio with her original song ‘you don’t belong anymore’ and also starting out playing gigs throughout Glasgow involving the LGBTQ community.”
TIME GYPSY: “A charming performer who weaves both humour and sincerity into her song writing. Inspired by blues and folk, her sound takes you on a wee soulful journey, leaving you feeling chilled out and hopeful about life. She will be joined by epic drummer Rosie Murray, and a soulful Jamie Skene on lead guitar.”
ELLA ENGLAND: “A 23 year-old singer songwriter from Perth, Scotland. Ella describes herself as, “a country gal living in the big old world!” Ella is passionate about living in the moment, writing songs that tell a story everyone can relate to and feel genuinely connected to her music. For the last couple of years Ella was based in London, creating music and gigging at venues such as Camden Club, Cafe KOKO and Q Club. Ella has had four releases and released her songs, ‘With You’, ‘Better Off’ and ‘Drunk Calling’ with the renowned Soho Sonics production and mixing studio in London, receiving numerous radio plays. Ella moved back to Scotland to connect with her roots and collect inspiration for songwriting from the places she loves most in the world. She hopes to travel around Scotland connecting with an audience of people to share her music with.”
MAR CHARAV: “A professional singer-songwriter and multi-instrumental (guitar, bass guitar, piano, keyboard, harmonica) for the past 10 years. He’s been playing all around EU and UK in all kind of possible venues. He mostly plays Rock/Pop music from the 60’ til 00’. He’s been writing songs for the past 5 years that have a fusion of nostalgia and modern energy inspired by the Rock of the late 90’ and a sprinkle of Pop as well.”
