YES YES YES! It’s with great pleasure to announce the return of Electric Salsa as bi-monthly residents at Room 2! Over the past five years we have welcomed the likes of Peter Van Hoesen, Broken English Club, Mor Eilan, Peder Mannerfelt, Re:ni, Sleeparchive, Ploy, Jensen Interceptor and Bambounou to Glasgow and we are ecstatic to get going again. Kick starting our new residency is one of Glasgow’s finest, Solid Blake. Over the past few years Solid Blake has developed her craft in Copenhagen before moving to Berlin. In Copenhagen she was one of the co-founders of Apeiron Crew, who were instrumental in the development of Copenhagen’s status as an epicentre for fast, high energy techno. Her sets impeccably weave through the various strains of electronic music and enjoyed by many at the likes of Berghain, De School, Fabric, Herrensauna, Dimensions and Dekmantel. As a producer Solid Blake effortlessly glides from cold, robotic electro to broken techno, and everything in between. Her first release was on the La Cheetah’s Outer Zone label in 2017 and since then she has gone on to release on a number of international labels. Check out her explosive releases on Seilscheibenpfeiler, Earwiggle and Monkeytown releases alongside some fantastic remixes for Mechatronica, E-Missions and Stockholm LTD. For a special homecoming treat, Solid Blake will be treating us to a three hour set which promises to make you sweat. She is rightfully earning her praises, developing a reputation for impacting crowds with her gritty cross-pollinated strains of electronic club music. On warm up is Electric Salsa residents who will be setting the scene for a night of proper club music delivered by one of the best there is. Tickets on RA Now!
