We make a return to Room2 for the first time since Hamdi made a visit last November! For the first one this year, we have local producer and DJ Kami-O headlining in what will be his first appearance at DoD and the first as resident DJ at these nights. Kami-O is a producer who is making an impact on Glasgow’s small but flourishing underground bass music scene. For a relative newcomer Kami-O’s nuanced take on grime, dubstep and left-field dancefloor sounds mark him as a precocious talent, and his first full-length project ‘Biren’ is brimming with innovative, introspective soundscapes. Coming in hot is good friend and long time collaborator Vixen Sound. Vixen Sound is a Scottish soundsystem culture selector and radio host. Having shared stages with the likes or Aba Shanti I, Iration Steppas, Manudigital, Dubkasm, and David Rodigan, Vixen has played across the world from India to New York, and runs several club nights across Scotland. Working closely with Mungo’s Hi Fi on the running of their record label, Scotch Bonnet Records. Vixen Sound is also part of the Sinai Sound System family. CC Sound are no strangers to the Glasgow Scene. Having formed in 2010, they were ever present on the scene until the past few years when life changes meant they couldn’t play out as often. That never stopped the passion or the collecting for that matter and they come with some heavy dubstep selections and a ton of energy. Member Dale is also heading to Australia in April so we really wanted to get them involved for this dance. Lastly and one we are super happy to bring to Glasgow for what we hope will be the first of many DoD sessions is Bristols own WHO KNEW. First coming to our attention after his big hit on Hold Tight Records, Lightbulb Moment. Being able to have him host this night is something we are really really looking forward to!!
