“Hippy are: Paul Hipson – singer/songwriter. Hugh Frizell – guitars. Formed in mid 2019 after Paul and Hugh met via a mutual acquaintance in Glasgow. By October 2019 their first single ‘Aries Girl’ was released followed up by subsequent singles ‘Feelgood’, ‘Junkyard Babies’ and ‘Volunteer’. The album Behind Every Song Is A Story was released to critical acclaim in October 2020. Hippy released their second album Falling In Love With Being Alive in August 2021. Which has received both local and national radio play so far. Hippy have also enjoyed a recent return to the live scene bringing their brand of acoustic rock to a wider audience and looking forward to their upcoming Room 2 gig very much.”
“Pelikan Rogue are a five piece band from Ayr in Scotland and have been together for four years. Releasing three singles ‘Feel The Pain’, ‘Anchor Lane’ and ‘Podium Queen’. The band are influenced by indie rock and love the sound and music of INXS and many more bands and artists from Muse to Oasis, Queens Of The Stone Age to 80’s Bowie. 2022 will bring an EP in January with four new songs and a debut album in the summer. The band have a strong production relationship with Marmaduke Duke, Sucioperro and Medals lead singer and songwriter JP Reid. He is a huge source of knowledge and support for the band. Pelikan Rogue have enjoyed many live gigs with the best being a headline show at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and The Classic Grand, an appearance at The Cavern Club in Liverpool and a support slot in Glasgow’s ABC. 2022 will bring festivals and a tour around Scotland and England to promote their EP and album.”
“The Ronains bring together a mixture of new wave and rock and roll to form a unique live sound and have enjoyed performing to packed venues across the country including sold out shows from the O2 ABC Glasgow to The Cavern Club in Liverpool and two successful USA tours. Playing on festival line-ups with the likes of Jake Bugg, Scouting For Girls, Toploader, Gerry Cinnamon and more along the way. With an ever increasing profile, 2019 saw the band enjoy endorsements with Natal Drums, Blackstar Amplification and Vocalzone and through 2020 and lockdowns the band secured sponsorship with drinks giants Dragon Soop.”
