Thursday 6th April
Starts 19:00 // Ends 22:00
Glasgow Streetsound, in partnership with Buskers of Glasgow (https://linktr.ee/BuskersofGlasgow), is a live music showcase at Room 2 Live, aimed at giving recognition to Glasgow’s (and further afield) talented musicians and street performers and giving them the opportunity to play in a city centre venue with a world class Funktion-One sound system.
Join us for an evening of amazing live music for #9 with Kieran McGuire, Broghan, Redline and Lois Paterson playing.
Please select the ticket option for the act you are primarily buying your ticket to support. £8+BF in advance. £10 on the door. 14+. Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. ID required (birth certificate, driving licence – full or provisional, passport, Young Scot card).
KIERAN McGUIRE: “Kieran is a man who sings outside. Wants to sing inside more.”
BROGHAN: “A singer-songwriter from Glasgow. She began her music career at a young age, busking in Glasgow City centre and Edinburgh at 14-years old. Since then, she has released six songs across all streaming platforms, produced a music video for her song, ‘Ping Ping Ping’, and performed gigs in Glasgow, at venues such as Room 2 Live and The Classic Grand. However, Broghan’s biggest achievement to date is supporting Lewis Capaldi at The OVO Hydro. Broghan has been described as having a soulful yet unique voice, with the ability to write unusual, catchy, and thought-provoking music.”
REDLINE: “SONNY: With more swagger than Mick Jagger, Sonny’s only requirement from the sound tech on the night is that his microphone is slightly louder than the other band members.
JOSH: As the second frontman and chief songwriter, Josh is chiefly concerned about the share of future royalties he’s likely to receive. A somewhat competent guitarist and singer, Josh more than makes up for his musical shortcomings by being the loudest member of the band.
CHRIS: Being the quiet guy in the Redline line-up, Chris is forever haunted by the doubts and fears of his bandmates, who are not quite sure what to make of him as yet. Also, quite possibly a wasted talent on bass, as he’s the most competent guitarist in the band.
LUKE: Luke plays drums. All in all, four absolute weapons.”
LOIS PATERSON: “Lois has been living in Glasgow for three years studying Music Performance and Sound Production at Riverside Music College. Lois is preparing to release her first debut single in Spring this year. Inspired by Jack Johnstone, the song falls into a category of what she describes as ‘chilled out pop’. “I’ve been busking for nearly a year but it’s safe to say I never really felt like a newbie due to the inclusive community that Glasgow buskers have created. Very soon I felt at home on the streets and it’s thanks to them. I like to busk songs that I like, lots of Queen and Abba, with a few pub gigs on the go, I am excited to experience performing as a musician. I strive to be inclusive and honest about my journey in the music industry, this is only the beginning and I am honoured to be asked to play at Glasgow Streetsound!”
Thank you for your support and see you there!
