The Crystal Teardrop and Paper Machine Music!

The Crystal Teardrop, distinctive blend of garage rock, psychedelia and power pop, exploded onto the alternative rock scene in April 2023.
Inspired by a mutual passion for the sights, sounds and creative experimentation of the late 1960s, the band’s music demonstrates an innate affection for classic artists such as The Beatles and The Kinks alongside West Coast favourites including The Great Society, Love and The Byrds. The band have been likened to Paisley Underground favourites The Bangles and The Pandoras due to their female fronted line up and dynamic onstage chemistry.

The group release their debut album on Popclaw (Rise Above Records) in May 2025 and will promote it with their debut Scottish gig in October 2025.

Paper Machine Music rose from the ashes of Glasgow band Viva Stereo. The outpourings of an addled mind that has been steeped for too long in Pavement, Spiritualized, Beta Band, Tim Buckley and Parquet Courts records.
